Rod Cayko - Owner
Rod Cayko began his career in the Transmission Repair business while still in high school. He worked after school and summers doing whatever tasks needed. He quickly matriculated thru the ranks of Transmission Remove and Replace Technician, then into head transmission rebuilder of the shop. In 1981, he opened his own shop in a two bay garage. Within a year he had outgrown the shop with equipment and customers, and moved to his present 4000 sq ft location at 6280 N. Govt. Way. Rod prides himself on staying technically aware of all the latest repair techniques and electronic diagnosis necessary to repair today's automobiles. Rod sits on North Idaho College's Automotive Advisory Board and on the Sonnax TASC FORCE. The TASC Force is composed of highly experienced transmission rebuilders and technicians who value technical innovations and have a hands-on understanding of the latest units and industry developments. Working closely with Sonnax design engineers, TASC Force members contribute product ideas, test new products, trouble-shoot results, and get together on a regular basis to discuss transmission repair solutions. When you see the logo "TASC Force Approved" on a product, it means the product has passed stringent testing by Sonnax and TASC Force members, which are some of the most savvy & respected technicians and rebuilders in the transmission repair industry.
